Winners Celebrated At 2023 Middle East & North Africa Stevie® Awards Ceremony
On March 18th, winners in the fourth annual Middle East & North Africa Stevie® Awards were honored with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Awards during a majestic ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel – Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. More than 230 guests from 68 winning companies attended the ceremony from all around the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Of special note, Founder and Chairman of Stevie Awards Michael Gallagher also revealed during the awards ceremony this year’s recipients of the program’s top prizes, two Grand Stevie Awards.
The Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards, sponsored by Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce , is an international business awards competition open to all organizations in 18 nations in the MENA region. The focus of the awards is recognizing innovation in the workplace in all its forms.
This year, over 800 nominations were considered in the judging process by more than 150 professionals. The average ratings from judges determined the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winner placements of the finalists, who were first announced in February. In addition to the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Awards, the top winner overall (entrant with highest total number of points calculated by total Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie wins) and the entry with the highest-scoring nomination are awarded the Grand Stevie Awards, which cannot be applied for directly.
The two Grand Stevie Award winners are:
HIGHEST-RATED NOMINATION OF THE YEAR: Temsa, Adana, Turkey, received a high score of 9.4 from the judges for their nomination TEMSA ART in the category Award for Innovation in Energy & Sustainability.
ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR: Karaca Zuccaciye A.S. Istanbul, Turkey, won the Grand Stevie Award for most honored organization of the year. They won an astonishing 16 Stevie Awards – 10 Gold, four Silver, and two Bronze.
Winners who won multiple Stevie Awards include Bagcılar Municipality (Turkey), Department of Health Abu Dhabi (UAE), DHL Express (Various Regions within the MENA region), Etihad Rail (UAE), INFLOW Network (Qatar), Integrated Transport Center (UAE), Ministry of Health and Prevention (UAE), Saudi Aramco (KSA) & ZIGMA8 | 360º CREATIVE COMMUNICATIONS (Iran).
Maggie Miller, President of the Stevie Awards, commented that this year’s awards gala witnessed an unprecedented turnout, with tickets for the ceremony selling out within days of announcing the event date. She added that the number of attendees reached more than 230 guests from all around the MENA region. The award attendees included dignitaries, industry leaders, officials, company owners, chairmen, boards of directors of government and private organizations, and executive directors— all pleased to be honored and presented with their Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevies onstage.
The fifth edition of the Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards will open for entries in September 2023.
