What To Watch This May On OSN
This May, OSN the region’s leading entertainment network – is bringing a host of must-see films to OSN Movies First. From the award-winning period drama, Downtown Abbey and the box office hit, Abominable, to the captivating horror, The Witch in the Window – OSN promises a month of endless entertainment. And that’s not all, OSN will be hosting three days of back to back movies featuring the legendary, Dwayne Johnson aka ‘The Rock’ on OSN Movies, including Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw to Baywatch.
Leading OSN’s exciting movie lineup next month is western thriller, The Ballad of Lefty. Available to watch on Thursday 7th May, the film stars Bill Pullman, Stephen Alan Seder and Golden Globe Award winner, Peter Fonda. When cowboy Lefty Brown witnesses the murder of his longtime partner, the newly elected Senator Edward Johnson, he strikes out to find the killers and avenge his friend’s cold-blooded murder.
For those who love horror films, be sure to catch The Witch in the Window on Thursday 14th May. When Simon brings his twelve-year-old son, Finn to rural Vermont to help flip an old farmhouse, they encounter the malicious spirit of Lydia, a previous owner. And now with every repair they make – she’s getting stronger. Starring Arija Bareikis, Alex Draper and Charlie Tacker – this film will leave anyone on the edge of their seat.
Next up is the hopeless romantic, The Sun Is Also a Star featuring, Yara Shahidi, Anais Lee and Charles Melton. Based on a young adult novel, the film follows a young man in medical school who falls for a hard-luck young woman who doesn’t believe in love. Premiering on Friday 15th May – this film is perfect for the ultimate roommate night in.
This May, OSN also brings Rememory to the network as part of its new and exclusive content. The film sees Gordon invent the Rememory machine that allows him to see memories as they were. However, he suddenly dies in his office. Is it murder? Sam investigates by using the machine “borrowed” from Gordon’s wife. He looks at memories of others involved. Starring Matt Ellis, Jordana Largy, Anton Yelchin and Emmy Award winner, Peter Dinklage – this is a must-watch on Thursday 21st May.
And for period drama fans, look no further than Downton Abbey on Friday 22nd May. Starring Matthew Goode, Michelle Dockery and two-time Oscar winner, Maggie Smith – the film sees the continuing story of the Crawley family, wealthy owners of a large estate in the English countryside in the early twentieth century.
Next month, OSN also introduces British-American action thriller, Final Score on Thursday 28th May, starring Dave Bautista, Martyn Ford and Hollywood favourite, Pierce Brosnan. After deadly terrorists abduct his niece at a soccer match, an ex-soldier with lethal fighting skills wages a one-man war to save her and prevent mass destruction.
And for families, OSN promises to offer up hours of entertainment from the comfort of their own home with Leo Da Vinci: Mission Mona, Abominable and Disney+ Original, Togo.
In addition, OSN will be hosting a Dwayne Johnson movie marathon from Sunday 24th May to Tuesday 26th May, with two films back to back each day on OSN Movies. From Skyscraper and Fighting with My Family, to Race to Witch Mountain and Doom – anyone will be spoilt for choice.
