WGS 2018 Showcases Program To Measure Student Happiness Levels In Dubai Schools
His ExcellencyDr Abdulla AlKaram, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), highlighted the relentless efforts of the UAE government to ensure happiness and positivity in Dubai’s schools. In histalk titled ‘All’s Well that Starts Well’, His ExcellencyDr Al Karam said the results of the first Dubai Student Wellbeing Census show that 84 percent of youngsters are happy at school. The census findings, which were unveiled today,collectedresults from 64,686 students, fromNovember to December of last year.
The census shows that students are most likely to report high or medium level of happiness were those who ate well, got a good night’s sleep, felt they did well in their schoolwork, and had close friendships.“It will be very interesting to see what schools in Dubai do with the data,” His ExcellencyDr Al Karamsaid. “Now it’s time for action.”
