A curated selection of the finest Italian jewellery by expert artisans await visitors at the Italian pavilion at VOD Dubai international jewellery show from November 14-17 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) has organized the pavilion showcasing unique designs from 28 leading Italian jewellers. The 300 sq. metre Italian pavilion, which is one of the largest country pavilions at the show, will display exquisite, elegant and timeless Italian jewellery featuring precious stones, gold, silver and platinum.
According to Gianpaolo Bruno, Trade Commissioner to the UAE, Oman and Pakistan, ITA: “The demand for Italian jewellery in the UAE continues to be strong with exports to the UAE equaling approximately Euro 873 million last year. The Italian jewellery industry is mainly concentrated in Valenza, Arezzo, Vicenza, and Campania region. Most of these are exclusive small and medium-sized companies that produce unique designs for discerning customers. Luxury jewellery is considered an essential accessory among Arabs and they strongly associate luxury with Italian brands. VOD Dubai gives Italian jewellers the chance to meet buyers and customers from the UAE and showcase their unique and high-end designs that are often hand crafted.”
At the Italian pavilion, visitors can choose from a selection of necklaces, diamond encrusted engagements rings, wedding bands, statement pieces, art deco jewellery and unique luxury designs in white or yellow gold set with precious and semi-precious stones in different colours.
“The last couple of years have been particularly challenging for the global jewellery sector because of economic and political uncertainties but the Italian jewellers have adapted well, drawing on centuries of heritage and by innovating and adapting newer technologies,” added Bruno.
The Italian Trade Agency is a strategic partner of VOD Dubai international jewellery show 2018. Official opening of the Italian pavilion will be held in the presence of the Italian Ambassador, the Consul General of Italy in Dubai, and the Trade Commissioner of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) on November 14th.
