Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority Recognised At Globaltrend Awards And W3 Awards 2019
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) was presented Gold and Silver awards at the GlobalTrend Awards, administered and judged by the International Awards Associates (IAA) competition, as well as two Silver awards at the W3 Awards in recognition for its global marketing campaign “I Found Ras Al Khaimah”. The campaign won Gold in in the Marketing Effectiveness category, and Silver in the Integrated Campaign category at the Global Trend Awards, and took home two Silver Awards in the ‘’ Best Integrated Campaign’’ and ‘’ Best Marketing Effectiveness’’ categories at the W3 Awards, a global awards scheme celebrating digital excellence across outstanding Websites, Web Marketing, Video, Mobile Sites/Apps & Social content.

Our marketing campaigns aim to raise awareness and interest in Ras Al Khaimah while growing its reputation as the leading adventure and leisure tourism hub in the Middle East, and this recognition is indeed a testament to our efforts in fulfilling our Destination Strategy 2019-2021 goals of attracting 1.5 million visitors to the Emirate by 2021 and 3 million by 2025.”
“#iFoundRAK” was rolled out in all Ras Al Khaimah’s key source markets with the primary purpose and delivery intent to raise awareness of the destination towards bolstering tourism numbers using a targeted approach to online marketing, and demonstrate commitment to supporting trade and hotel partner relationships.
The GlobalTrend Awards recognizes the most impactful campaigns and the execution of these within the marketing and communication industry. The nominations undergo the scrutiny of a carefully picked jury, comprised of highly respected, experienced professionals. Some members of the judging panel this year included the Global Social and Content Lead at Uber, Senior Vice President of Global Brand Strategy at Guinness World Records and the Design Consultant at the United Nations Children’s Fund.
The W3 Awards commemorate digital excellence across outstanding webpages, marketing driven video content, mobile website and social platforms. The judging process is administered by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), comprised of highly recognized field leaders. This year, the awards received 5000 entries, globally.
