Luiten Into Race To Dubai Top Ten With Magical Muscat Win
Joost Luiten made his way into the Race to Dubai’s top ten in fine style after a terrific performance saw him shoot a final round 68 to edge out Chris Wood and claim the inaugural NBO Oman Open at Al Mouj Golf; the first ever European Tour event to be held in the Sultanate.
Luiten came out on top in the captivating battle over the final day which saw him finish the week an impressive 16 under par 272, writing his name in Omani history as the first ever winner of the NBO Oman Open. The win gained the Dutchman, 291,660 points which takes his season tally to 353,060 and rockets him from 60th to ninth in the Race to Dubai Rankings as he targets a ninth consecutive appearance at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates in November.
