IHC Honored At UAE Pioneers Award 2017
Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, recognized 46 Emirati pioneers who excelled in the humanitarian and philanthropic sector, as part of the fourth edition of UAE Pioneers Award 2017, which coincides with the celebrations of UAE National Day and the “Year of Giving”.
On this occasion, the International Humanitarian City (IHC), represented by its Board of Directors member, HE Abdulla Abdulrahman Al Shaibani, was honored for its leading work in the humanitarian field.
Founded in 2003 in Dubai by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, IHC is the largest humanitarian hub in the world. Chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, and strongly supported by its Board of Directors, it provides tremendous logistics services to all its members and boosts their capacities to respond to humanitarian emergencies timely and efficiently.
The achievements of those honored today will be documented in the UAE Cabinet and their biographies and winning initiatives will be written down in a special book which will be published later.
