His Highness The Aga Khan Arrives In Dubai

His Highness the Aga Khan, spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslim Community arrived in Dubai yesterday evening on an official visit.

The Aga Khan’s visit to the UAE is part of a series of visits taking place globally in commemoration of his Diamond Jubilee marking 60 years of his Imamat as the spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community. The Aga Khan acceded to the Ismaili Imamat on 11 July 1957, succeeding his grandfather, Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan.

While in the UAE, His Highness the Aga Khan is scheduled to meet with government leaders to discuss further cooperation in areas of mutual interest as well as members of the Ismaili community.
