GM Africa And Middle East Receives Global Recognition For Empowering Dealer Networks With Know-How Through Innovation
General Motors Africa and Middle East received two prestigious accolades at the 2024 Brandon Hall Excellence Awards for its regional efforts in Learning and Development. As the only automotive brand globally to win 11 awards in 2024, in the Middle East, this marks GM’s third consecutive year of success at these awards, underscoring its commitment to enhancing knowledge-sharing among its dealers and wider networks.

In its efforts to ensure connectivity, human capital management remains a top priority across GM’s operations. Alongside its partners, the company has consistently invested in improving access to reliable resources and better management initiatives to support its partners. As a result, GM was awarded a Gold Award in the category of Best Certification Program.This award honors excellence and innovation in certification programs specifically designed to support a competency and/or skill development needed within an organization and across our regional dealer network. This innovative program structuralizes the way the knowledge is presented, simulated, retained and most importantly applied in the workplace by focusing on the activation of key teaching points. Thanks to this new methodology, the certification results saw triple-digit growth by year end.
Keeping up with digital innovation and technology integration
GM also received a Gold in the Best Use of Mobile Learning category. By adopting a forward-thinking approach, GM’s technology-powered learning programs enhance workplace learning, by using portable devices such as smartphones, tablets, and handheld computers to deliver training content. Over time, this has raised awareness of mobile learning among 15 local dealer networks, contributing to the sector’s readiness for a digitally driven future.It also drove engagement on the app with knowledge levels at 80% in 2023 after implementing this program across the network.
