Emirates Center For Government Knowledge, Hawkamah Institute Sign Agreement To Boost Government Competitiveness
The Emirates Center for Government Knowledge (ECGK), an affiliate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), has signed an agreement with the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance – part of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) – to boost cooperation on knowledge and management consultancy to upgrade performance across various UAE Government entities.
The agreement facilitates cooperation between the two parties in launching initiatives, projects and plans to promote governance in the UAE, raise the competitiveness of public-sector entities and institutions, and upgrade the knowledge and expertise that fall within the framework of management consulting services.
MBRSG’s Executive President His Excellency Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri said: “The Emirates Center for Government Knowledge is a source for insight and a hub for government best practices in the UAE. This agreement represents another step forward towards embedding good governance into the very fabric of government systems, in close cooperation with the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance.”
Meanwhile, ECGK Director Sarah Talib said: “Working together with the Hawkamah Institute, the Center is committed to promoting governance across various government entities, all the while ensuring these institutions are fully equipped and prepared for it in accordance with international best practice. We are looking to develop the role of management consulting and specialised training in improving institutional performance, in addition to addressing any and all obstacles that may arise in the future.”
