Dubai Opera To Host Final ‘Choir Of The Year’ Performance And Gala Concert Of ChoirFest Middle East

ChoirFest Middle East, the annual Dubai festival which celebrates the rich diversity of choral music, is thrilled to announce that this year’sschool winners and finalists, along with three exciting UAE-based choral groups and four regional choirs will perform at Dubai Opera on Saturday 17^thMarch, 2018. Over the past week, a staggering 1,900 students from50 schools have taken part in the competition, making it the biggest choral competition in the region.Nord Anglia International School Primary Choirwon the title of ‘Junior Choir of the Year’ and will be joined on the stage, by the sixsenior school finalists, who will battle it out for the coveted title of ‘Senior Choir of the Year’. The finalists are; The Raha Singers, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah English School Secondary Choir, Dubai English Speaking College Chamber Choir, United International Private School Glee Club, The GEMS Wellington Silicon Oasis Residence WSO and Dubai College Choir. As well as the schools, adult choirs from across the UAE will also compete in the run-up to the Gala Concert to win ‘Adult Choir of the Year’, and the winners will join the Dubai Opera stage.
