Comedy Central is the world’s number one comedy network and a division of VIACOM International Media Networks (VIMN). As Tracey Grant, VP of Content and Channels for VIMN Middle East explains, promoting local talent is a key part of Comedy Central’s strategy in the region.
“Comedy brings people together and this is especially important in a region that is so diverse, with many nationalities, cultures and points of view. While we are excited by the breadth of international talent that comes to the Middle East and works with our network, finding and promoting local grassroots talent is equally important for our continued relevance to regional audiences.”
The live shows were filmed on location at the Jeddah Comedy Club and the Music Hall Dubai (Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel). In total, more than 3,000 people attended the sold-out events.
