Hyatt Named In The Top Five Of The Best 25 Workplaces In The UAE by Great Place To Work

Hyatt has been officially recognisedas one of the ‘Best 25 Workplaces in the UAE’ for 2017-2018 by Great Place to Work®, a global research, training and consultancy firm that identifies the best workplaces in over 50 countries worldwide. Hyatt received its highest recognition to date in the region, ranking in at No.5 this year, the only hotel group in the top five and climbingsevenplaces from No.12 in last year’s list.

Ranking are based on the confidential feedback of employees and an audit of management policies and practices. Each entry is judged according to performance in eight key areas: Leadership, wellbeing, giving something back, personal growth, fair deal and how members of staff feel towards their manager, company and team.

The official list was announced during an awards ceremony on 25th April 2018 at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray in Dubai. Yves Givel the EAME/SWA Region’s Head of Human Resources, is amindfulness practitioner himself and has been training for the past year to become a certified instructor of the ‘Search Inside Yourself’ program, a mindful leadership program developed by Google in recent years. The program has been run in a number of locations within the region including its implementationby a number of leaders across Hyatt’s Dubai hotels.Introducing the concept of mindfulness to the hotels has the additional benefit of developing emotional intelligence and mindful leadership skills, as well as improving overall wellbeing, collaboration, teamwork and employee satisfaction.
