Gulf Air Hosts International Conference On “Sustainable Future”
Gulf Air hosted a two-day International Conference “Towards a Sustainable Future”. Held at the Movenpick Hotel Bahrain on May 4 and 5, 2024, the conference was attended by Gulf Air Group (GFG) Chairman, H.E. Zayed R. Alzayani, GFG Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Goh, and other key members of Gulf Air top management team, as well as Gulf Air Country and Airport Managers.
Commenting at the opening of the conference, GFG Chairman said, “We are delighted to host the Gulf Air International Conference, which is a great opportunity to meet our Gulf Air network team in Bahrain and keep them informed on Gulf Air’s strategy centered around sustainable profitability. This will enable us to enhance cooperation between Gulf Air outstations and steer the company towards profitability, further aligning it with Gulf Air Group’s strategic direction and initiatives towards a sustainable future.”
The Gulf Air International Conference discussed key areas such as “Growing Bahrain Tourism”, “Business Updates on Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE)”, updating Gulf Air outstations staff on the corporate strategy of connectivity and customer service excellence, internal developments, exchanging knowledge, and enabling direct interaction between Gulf Air management and staff.
Gulf Air also celebrated the outstanding achievements of its Country Managers and Airport Managers at the awards ceremony, held as part of its International Conference “Towards a Sustainable Future”.
The awards were presented by GFG Chairman and GFG Chief Executive Officer. They highlighted the company’s commitment to acknowledging and appreciating excellence within its workforce. Moreover, the awards reflect Gulf Air’s dedication to operational excellence, world-class customer experience, and profitability, aligning it with Gulf Air Group’s strategic direction and initiatives towards a sustainable future.
Among the recipients of the awards were Gulf Air’s station at Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG), awarded with Best Premium Revenue Share Growth; Gulf Air at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) with the Highest Web Revenue Share; and Gulf Air at Kuwait International Airport (KWI) with Best Point to Point Revenue Share Growth. The Least Number of Safety Incidents award was given to Gulf Air’s station at Chennai Airport in India (MAA), while the Least Number of Passenger Complaints award was given to its station at Al-Qassim International Airport in KSA (ELQ). The airline’s station at Dubai International Airport (DXB) received the Highest Achievement for On-Time Performance (OTP) award.
Upon the successful culmination of the conference, Gulf Air organized an airport tour for the participants in collaboration with Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of BIA. The tour showcased the state-of-the-art features of the new terminal of BIA, a proud recipient of numerous Skytrax International Awards. It also featured the exceptional amenities and services bestowed upon Golden Falcon passengers within the renowned Gulf Air Lounge, as well as the comprehensive array of services available to all transit halls at the airport. Additionally, country and airport managers received an in-depth presentation on cutting-edge facilities at the departure and arrival halls. These state-of-the-art spaces are meticulously equipped with the latest technological advancements, ensuring seamless experiences for travellers.
