Epson Supports Fashion Designer Michael Cinco At Arab Fashion Week 2021
Global technology leader Epson, collaborated with fashion designer Michael Cinco for the Spring-Summer 2022 collection at Arab Fashion Week. Held at Dubai Design District (d3), Epson’s solutions helped the Dubai-based Filipino designer to create sustainable designs using less water, energy and waste compared to traditional printing methods
Inspired by the concept of ‘print by art’, and specifically by renowned Austrian painter, Gustav Klimt, Cinco’s unique, printed capsule collection showcased on the runway has been created using Epson’s dye-sublimation and direct-to-fabric printing technology.
Michael Cinco is a great representative of a new generation of designers who are much more focused on sustainability, ethical production and local sourcing. Printing in-house and on-demand means more flexibility and more control for the designer, whilst reducing any negative impact on the environment. The transformation of the textile industry is being supported by new ranges of Epson’s Direct-To-Garment (DTG) and dye sublimation printers.
Epson’s digital textile printing solutions offer fashion designers creative freedom, giving them the ability to print on anything imaginable, reproducing unlimited colours or even complex designs, to create endless customisation options to bring their creative visions to life.
